The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” -Matthew 28:16-20
Jesus was on a mission to make disciples. Jesus made disciples by teaching people by the thousands. He made disciples by living life together with dozens. And He made disciples teaching people one-on-one.
Our purpose in life is to be His disciples. He commanded us to make disciples like He did. A disciple is someone who loves, follows, and joins Jesus on His mission. Jesus did a great job at this, so we want to follow His example of how to make disciples.
At Church Project, we make disciples following Jesus' model. We teach people by the hundreds in our Sunday gatherings. We live life together by the dozens in House Church. House Church is our main vehicle for COMMUNITY & DISCIPLESHIP.
FOUNDATIONS are workshops that teach Christ-followers how to live out the gospel in foundational areas of life. They are multiple-weeks and are applied in a group setting. FOUNDATIONS workshops rotate throughout the year on Sunday afternoons, usually from 4PM-6PM. Each class is distinct in its length. Childcare is provided for a small fee. Classes will be posted here as we schedule them for the coming year. If you are interested in a potential FINANCIAL CLASS concerning your overall view of money and oversight of your personal budget, please register. When the class registration is full, we will inform you.
FOUNDATIONS cover integral life topics including:
• APOLOGETICS (understanding and explaining your faith)
RECOMMENDED READINGS, DEVOTIONS, & TOOLS FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH
When studying the Bible, spend time alone with God, free from interruption. Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Consider how God is revealing His character to you through this passage, and how you should apply this to your life in order to follow God’s will more completely. Read, pause, reflect, and pray about the passage you are reading.
Daily Plan: 1 Psalms, 1 Proverbs, 1 Chapter Old Testament, 1 Chapter New Testament
(With this plan, you can choose an Old Testament Book to study, and a New Testament Book to study, concurrently, in their entirety)
Choose a book of the Bible to study through, one at a time (recommended to start with John, Luke, Acts, Colossians, Genesis, Psalms, Romans, Joshua, I Samuel...)
